Delrin is a light, wear-resistant engineering plastic that does not absorb water and can withstand almost any environment. Islander - MR3 - Salmon Mooching

The Islander MR3 is the latest entry into the premier salmon mooching reel field. Single action reels have long been the choice of most experienced guides and premier lodges on the west cost of British Columbia. The MR3 utilizes Islanders‹ impressive silky smooth drag system. Drag is supplied by a large 3-inch clutch, which uses a double pawl system for positive clutch lock up. The drag is adjusted from the spool side which happens if the anglers are not quick enough moving their hand when the fish makes a run for freedom.

Islander - LX3.2 - Large Arbor

Every LX model comes with a Dymondwood handle, which is a dense, resin-stabilized hardwood that resists swelling and wear, while maintaining the beauty and feel of a natural hardwood. To keep the reel stable during high-speed runs, every LX spool is both externally and internally counterweighted, which balances the mass of the handle assembly and the clicker assembly. The frame-side drag adjustment knob is buttery smooth and infinitely adjustable. It is light! The largest LX tips the scales a shade under 14 ounces, and that's for a reel meant to pack a WF15 fly line! From the gently contoured palming rim to its highly polished stainless steel drawbar and counterweight. The super-smooth "stop-a-truck" drag is provided by Islander's proven Teflon and graphite-impregnated cork drag disc. By turning the silky smooth frame-side adjustment knob, you can modify the drag to a setting that most suits your style.
